JDS-3, LLC was established in 2008 when our founder became involved with sustainability in the real estate marketplace. The US Green Building Council was making headway in the commercial market and they were just entering the residential market. We noted that the vast majority of "green" and "sustainable" residential projects involved clearing vast tracts of virgin land to build thousands of houses, while a plethora of older homes sat vacant in established neighborhoods - this seemed at odds with the concept of living sustainably.

Our motto is "Improving Neighborhoods One House at a Time" and we strive to do that on a daily basis. Our goal is to assist people that need to divest themselves of all types of properties, thereby saving them thousands in real estate commissions. We then completely renovate the home in accordance with the US Green Building Council's LEED for Homes standards, regardless of whether or not we intend to seek certification for any specific property. What could be more sustainable than taking an existing property and reconstructing it using the latest in energy efficiency and environmental design? Our project managers seek to reduce the waste stream, utilize no/low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) paints, coatings and adhesives wherever possible, and employ enhanced energy and water conservation efforts to ensure that our new homeowners enjoy improved indoor air quality while reducing their utility costs - a truly sustainable endeavor.
